EDON – Kadyn Picillo and Schliesser each had three hit nights to lead the Bulldogs past Edon 11-1 in the first round of the Williams County ACME sectional.
Edgerton clubbed 16 hits as a team and got a complete game one-hitter from Corey Everetts on the mound in the win.
No. 3 seed Edgerton stays in the winners’ bracket and will now face No. 2 Montpelier tonight in Bryan at 5pm while No. 4 seeded Edon will host No. 5 North Central in a losers’ bracket elimination game tonight at 5pm.

North Central 8 Hilltop 0
BRYAN –No. 5 North Central took a 3-0 lead before adding five more runs in the sixth to pull away for an 8-0 win over No. 6 Hilltop in the opening round of the double-elimination ACME Williams County sectional tournament.
The 13-hit night by the Eagles was paced by Keanu Miller’s 3-3 game with Ethan Beard, Joey Burt, Connor Gendron, and Cohen Meyers each had two hits.
Cameron Shimp and Zander Runkel each smacked two hits for the Cadets in the setback.
The Eagles with the win advanced to face Bryan in the second game of the night where they fell to the Golden Bears 7-2.
North Central will be at No. 4 Edon tonight for an elimination game at 5pm while Hilltop will take on the loser of the No.3 Edgerton-No. 2 Montpelier game in another loser bracket game in Bryan at 7:30pm.

Wauseon 11 Patrick Henry 3
NAPOLEON – Wauseon stayed alive in the District 2 ACME sectional tournament in Napoleon by using two big innings to clip Patrick Henry 11-3.
The Indians, who lost to Archbold a day earlier to drop to the losers’ bracket, started fast with four runs in the first inning and a six spot in the third.
Tyson Rodriguez spearheaded the Wauseon offense with two doubles, two singles and knocked in two runs. Eli Delgado was just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle as he tripled, doubled, singled, and tallied three RBIs.

Wauseon squares off with Napoleon tomorrow night in another elimination game with the winner taking on the loser of tonight’s Archbold-Tinora matchup in the second game on Wednesday night in Napoleon.
