Donald M. Sutton, DOB August 28, 1953, is a white male, 180 lbs, 6 ft. tall. He was last seen on September 2, 2014, at approximately 4:00 PM leaving his parent’s residence near Edon, Ohio. Mr. Sutton was driving a 2009 Red Dodge Caravan with Ohio plates DM16HK. Family reports that Mr. Sutton has memory issues along with health problems. (September 9th, 2014)-PATRICK HENRY: The Junior Varsity Lady Indians traveled to Patrick Henry to do battle with the Patriots. Even though they got off to an early lead, Wauseon let a road win slip through their fingers. In the first set, it was the Lady Indians who won a brutal slug fest. They took the game 25-20. They couldn’t steal a victory from the home town Patriots, though, as Wauseon lost the match in straight sets. From the first set, Wauseon battled hard against the Lady Patriots. (September 9th, 2014)-DEFIANCE: A tri-match at Auglaize between Wauseon, Holgate, and Archbold came down to the wire on Tuesday. The Indians were barely able to hold Archbold at bay, defeating the Blue Streaks by less than 10 strokes. Wauseon won the match, shooting a 153 as a unit. (September 10th, 2014)-DEMOR HILLS: In BBC action, Stryker and Fayette squared off on Wednesday. The Panthers overwhelmed the Eagles, taking the match 178-211. Tanner Clingamen earned medalist honors on the day, shooting a 39 for Stryker. Panther teammate Hayden Clingamen was close behind with a 43. Chad Ruffer and Cody Hall each put up a 48 in the victory. (WAUSEON, OH) Painting has begun on the exterior of one of Fulton County’s most historical landmarks this past week. Crews from Brian Brothers Painting of Piqua, OH have begun re-painting the vents and tower of the courthouse. “It has been approximately 20 years since this type of exterior work has been completed” states Vond Hall, County Administrator. “It is our intention to continue to provide the necessary maintenance to keep the courthouse in-tact.” The project is expected to be completed within 60 days and carries a price tag of $58,700. A safety assembly for over 500 new Four County Career Center students was recently held at the school. The assembly was held to promote safety in the Career Center for all students, personnel, and visitors. Ohio State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Jerrod A. Savidge and Henry County Sheriff Michael Bodenbender both stressed the importance of safe driving habits. They emphasized that obeying traffic laws is vital as well as paying attention to speed limits and the actions of other drivers. Vern L. Ruffer, age 94, of Archbold, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. Prior to his retirement he had been a farmer, a carpenter, and worked road construction. Vern was born near Archbold on November 2, 1919, the son of Amiel and Mary Martha (Kohl) Ruffer. On June 6, 1942 he married Ruth Anna Eiler, and she preceded him in death in 2007. He was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold. Richard Ward “Rich” Joughin, 52, of rural Fayette, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2014, at CHWC Montpelier Hospital. He was born December 27, 1961, to Ward and Cleantha (Rehklau) Joughin. He married Shana Mae Minzey on April 18, 1988, in Reno, NV, and she survives. Desite Liberty Center’s best efforts, the Lady Indians took the win, 2-0. Wauseon took 21 shots at the Tigers’ goal in the win. Lady Indian Keeper Hannah Spadafore had 3 saves against Liberty Center on the opposite end of the field. Avery Giguere nailed the first goal of the day, thanks to an assist by Natalie Koenig. (September 9th, 2014): The Lady Blackbirds competed against St. Paul on Tuesday. St. Paul proved to be quite resourceful, though, as they were able to take down Pettisville in straight sets. The Pettisville girls struggled in the first set. They lost the game 14-25. Game 2 saw the Lady Blackbirds spread their wings and elevate their game. They couldn’t fly high enough, though, as they still dropped the set 23-25. Overall, the Seventh Grade Squad from Pettisville has a 2-2 record, and is still a perfect 1-0 in BBC play.

(September 9th, 2014)-TOLEDO: The Blackbirds of Pettisville marched onto Toledo Waite’s home field and claimed it as their own. The traveling Blackbirds obliterated Waite, 10-0. Pettisville took 15 shots at Waite’s net, nailing two-thirds of their shot attempts. By comparison, Waite only got off two shot attempts at the Pettisville goal, making neither of them. Scoring for the boys of Pettisville was led by Jordan Bontrager and Stuart Yoder, with each player making two goals. Other scorers for the Blackbirds include Mikala Avina, Jakob Waidelich, Josh Liechty, Matt Hulbert, Tate Kauffman, and Landon Roth.

September 5th-6th-ANTWERP: A stoppage in play and postponement in mid-game did nothing to shortchange the intensity of the contest between Antwerp and the visiting Hilltop Cadets.  A sizable portion of this game was played on Friday night, as scheduled, but surrounding thunderstorms delayed the completion of the match-up until Saturday afternoon.
