Yet, at the end of the night, it was in fact the Pettisville girls standing triumphant over the Patriot girls of Patrick Henry. It took overtime to claim victory, but Pettisville was able to do so, 57-55. Throughout the entire game, Patrick Henry moved the ball efficiently, giving the Patriots several clean looks at the basket from beyond the arc. Hugs and tears were a running theme throughout the pregame ceremony meant to honor the four girls playing in their final home game of their high school careers. Despite playing from behind for almost the entire first half, Wauseon was able to secure a 28-24 victory against the Lady Vikings. Evergreen got off to a solid start, commanding an 11-7 lead by the first quarter’s conclusion.
