It is a trend that can also be seen in the statewide and U.S. unemployment rates. Williams County had an unemployment rate at 3.7% and Fulton County a rate of 3.9% in August. The Wauseon Board of Education passed two separate resolutions during their September 24 noon board meeting. The first, an annual measure, gives permission to the Fulton County Auditor to send 0.15 mills of the 5.3 mills the district receives directly to the Wauseon Public Library. The second resolution passed accepts property from the City of Wauseon and grants a permanent sanitary sewer and storm water easement to the City of Wauseon. Delbert R. Baker, 80, of Pioneer passed away Friday afternoon at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on September 20, 1935 in Montpelier to Ray O. and Kathleen (Lashaway) Baker. Delbert attended Montpelier Schools. Delbert retired as a service technician from General Telephone in 1990. He began his 32 year career in Sylvania, Ohio and finished in the Montpelier and Pioneer area. After retirement he worked at the Auto Auction in Montpelier for several years. The Loft in Stryker has hired a full time staff employee in an effort to better serve the youth of the Stryker community. Dave Frank and Eliot Nofziger told the Stryker Rotary Club about these changes at their regular meeting on September 22nd. Jesse E. Clark, 75, of Alvordton passed away late Thursday afternoon at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Commander Floyd Juillard died on September 14, 2015 at the age of 92 in Surprise, AZ. He was born to the late Floyd Juillard and Clea Betts on May 20, 1923, in Stryker, OH.
