Wauseon Board Of Education Passes Resolutions At September Meeting

The Wauseon Board of Education passed two separate resolutions during their September 24 noon board meeting. The first, an annual measure, gives permission to the Fulton County Auditor to send 0.15 mills of the 5.3 mills the district receives directly to the Wauseon Public Library. The second resolution passed accepts property from the City of Wauseon and grants a permanent sanitary sewer and storm water easement to the City of Wauseon.

Additionally during the meeting, the board approved:
•FY16 permanent appropriations and the original budget for GASB 34 reporting.

•Modifications and supplemental modifications to the FY16 Certificate of Resources.

•The establishment of a change fund for the Wauseon FFA in the amount of $100.

•Personnel items gaining board approval during the meeting included:


•Dave Storrer as a Volunteer Varsity Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2015-16 school year.

•The resignation of Ron Shipley as a WES Sweeper, effective September 30, 2015.

•A one year limited certificated non-athletic supplemental contract to Laura Leininger as the District SLO Coordinator the 2015-16 school year.

•A one year limited classified contract to Amanda Booth as a WES Sweeper for the 2015-16 school year, effective October 1, 2015.

•A one year limited classified contract to Mike Parker as the Maintenance Assistant/Custodian for the 2015-16 school year, effective September 28,2 015.

•Ron Shipley as a Classified substitute for the 2015-16 school year, effective October 1, 2015.


An overnight field trip for the Wauseon Chorale to travel to New York City from April 21, 2016 to April 24, 2016 was also approved as presented.

The meeting adjourned without entering into executive session.
