Montpelier 13, Pettisville 3 (6 innings)

MONTPELIER – Montpelier broke open a close game, scoring 10 runs over the final two innings as the Locomotives derailed Pettisville, 13-3, in Buckeye Border Conference action.

Ashlyn Harter led the Locomotives (3-5, 2-0 BBC) with three hits and drove in a run. Morgan Bechtol drove in a pair of runs with two hits.

Brynn Schwartz singled and doubled for Pettisville (1-7, 0-2 BBC). Naomi Richer had a double.

Cianna Shoup got the complete-game win for Montpelier, allowing three runs on four hits with two strikeouts and three walks.
