TWO-WAY EFFORT … Montpelier’s Neriah Thorp allowed two hits in four innings to go along with her two singles and three RBIs at the plate.

MONTPELIER – Montpelier took advantage of six errors and 14 walks as the Locos blanked Stryker, 17-0, to remain unbeaten in Buckeye Border Conference play in five innings.

Maggie Jacob led the Locos (7-6, 5-0 BBC) with two hits, including a double, and scored three times.

Neriah Thorp added two hits, drove in three runs, and scored three times. Zoe Uribes drove in three runs with a double and scored three times.

Jaiden Palmer doubled for Stryker (0-8, 0-5 BBC), who was held to just two hits. Thorp was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts and two walks in four innings.
