Bryan Development (BD) has announced that the law offices of Rupp, Hagans & Bohmer, LLP and LDHM, LLC are the collective recipient of the July 2023 “Spotlight Award,” recognizing local investment in buildings, landscaping, and other improvements in Bryan.

Rupp, Hagans & Bohmer and LDHM’s award honors the companies for their extensive development of the former Ohio Gas Company building located at 200 West High Street.

The redevelopment of the property included a complete refurbishment of both the first floor and the exterior of the building, including the replacement of all exterior windows.

The building is owned by LDHM, LLC, a real estate development company owned by two attorneys at Rupp, Hagans & Bohmer, Mark Hagans and Robert Bohmer, and a West Unity contractor, David Colon.

The building houses Rupp, Hagans & Bohmer’s Bryan office, related title insurance companies (Black Swamp Title Agency, LLC and Journey Title Agency, LLC), and a portion of the property is leased to The Farmers & Merchants State Bank for a loan origination office.

“LDHM have done an incredible job taking this cornerstone property forward” says BD’s President, Russ Davies.

“The project took a little longer than we wanted, but we are ecstatic with the outcome and look forward to using it to serve Bryan and Williams County for years to come,” adds Mark Hagans.

“With the improvements we’ve made, we believe that the building will remain a cornerstone in Downtown Bryan.” Bryan Development’s mission is to enrich the community by encouraging economic activity, preservation and community pride.

Spotlight Award recipients are recognized by the BD with a plaque and through social media and local news outlets.

The community is encouraged to submit Spotlight Award nominations at developbryan@gmail.com.
