Center Township Trustees met for their regular session on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 to discuss zoning concerns and maintenance throughout the township.
Trustees Matt Grube, Ryan Muehlfeld, Julie Davis, and Fiscal Officer Terry Collins were in attendance. Zoning Inspector Todd Burkholder was also present.
During the zoning report, Burkholder reported that no permits had been issued since the previous meeting. Trustees also held a lengthy discussion regarding chickens and other zoning-related issues within township subdivisions.
In the sexton and hall rental report, officials reported three burials and six hall rentals during the month. Trustees also noted that a new water fountain had been installed in the township hall.
As part of new business, Trustees approved the installation of 3M glass tinting for the lobby windows.
Township officials also discussed drainage concerns on County Road F. Snyder Construction and McGill had reportedly addressed a drainage issue by utilizing a catch basin. Trustees were informed that additional catch basin inventory should be ordered to keep supplies on hand for future issues.
The Board then reviewed the schedule for June storm siren testing, which included the Norlick, Oak Ridge, Melbourne, Sunrise, West Center, Complex, and Road F locations.
Before adjourning, Trustees approved the payment of bills. With no further business, the next Center Township Trustee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 8 p.m.
