The Chesterfield Township Trustees held their meeting on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 7:03 p.m. Following approval of the previous meeting minutes, trustees also approved the bills presented.
During the fiscal officer’s report, officials reviewed the payment listing covering March 17 through April 6 along with the township’s financial reports, including the payment register, receipt register, fund status, cash journal, cash summary by fund, bank statements, and bank reconciliation report.
Trustees also approved a then-and-now purchase order in the amount of $463.81 to AB Co Services, Inc. In another financial matter, the board approved payment of a $30 associate membership fee for Herb Harris through the Fulton County Township Association.
Trustees also reviewed the March 2026 Fulton County Sheriff’s report. Next, road matters took up another portion of the meeting, with Herb Harris reporting that he had continued working on township roads and in the shop as needed.
Trustees then discussed a possible OPWC application and approved seeking an estimate for widening County Road 15-1 to 20 feet, along with full depth reclamation and cold mix work from U.S. 20 to State Route 15.
Harris also reported that he had contacted Bernath about filling holes on County Road 14 from Road S to County Road 120, with Bernath expected to review the job and respond to the township.
In zoning business, trustees discussed a request from Christy Shadbolt of the Regional Planning Commission seeking permission for the RPC to approve lot splits within Chesterfield Township.
A sample resolution was provided and will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney for review before trustees take further action. With no other business to attend to, the meeting was adjourned.
