According to a press release from Parkview Health, Community Hospitals and Wellness centers will be joining the Parkview Health systems organization.
Parkview Health has been located within the Northwest Ohio region for several years now, with locations in Wauseon, Archbold and Bryan. The acquisition of CHWC properties will further cement the organization in our local area.
CHWC facilities are currently located in Bryan, Montpelier and Archbold. According to Tami Brigle with Parkview Health, these locations will be renamed and branding at these locations will change.
“After October 1st, CHWC’s facilities will be known as Parkview Bryan Hospital, Parkview Montpelier Hospital, and Parkview Archbold. Building signage and other materials will be gradually updated with new names and branding. Both teams are working closely together to ensure a smooth transition.”
“There are many details to work through and finalize in the coming months to prepare for the affiliation and in the months following the transition. More information can be shared in the future.”
The process to merge the two organizations began back in March when the companies signed a letter of intent to enter into a strategic partnership.
Since then, the companies have been spending the past few months completing the due diligence process to finalize the definitive agreement.
According to the press release, one big reason for the merger is the fact that the two organizations share the same culture and values.
“The CHWC Board of Directors is pleased to continue caring for our community while growing our relationship with Parkview Health,” said Chris Kannel, chair, CHWC Board of Directors.
“Working together over the years, we know that Parkview’s culture and values align with our own.”
“Though our facility names will change, our commitment to serving our patients and communities will remain the same.”
