Donna LuRayne (Kugler) Stier, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, only a few hours after turning 99 ½ years old, at Fountain Park in Bryan, Ohio where she had been a resident for one year.
Donna was born May 7, 1925 in Angola, Indiana. She lost her father at the beginning of the Depression at the age of 3 and lost her mother at the age of 12.
She moved in with her grandparents near Montgomery, Michigan where she attended and graduated from high school. She married Leland Stier on December 8, 1945, and he preceded her in death, as did all family members in her generation.
Donna lived her entire adult life in quiet dignity, always a smile and good word for everyone. She was a second mother to many from her kids’ generation.
She raised, and is survived by Stephen (Julie Avery) Stier, of Empire, Michigan, Stanley (Amy Kyser) Stier, of Bad Axe, Michigan, Fred (Maria Garza) Stier, of Bryan, Ohio and Mary Ann (Scott Stratton) Andriotis, of Bryan, Ohio. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several great-greats.
As she rests in heaven, she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. As per her wishes, there will be no services. Her arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio.
