Doris Rivera, age 61 years, of Wauseon, passed away peacefully Monday evening surrounded by her husband, daughter, and close family, December 16, 2024, at CHP In-Patient Hospice in Defiance.
She was born April 2, 1963 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Nicolas and Ana (Flores) Torres, and married Joel Rivera on September 1st 1984 and he survives. She was a graduate of Merrillville High School and worked for Fairlawn Haven as a custodian.
She loved cooking, and always making friends with the elderly and everyone she met. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, doing laundry, and ironing.
She is survived by her husband Joel Rivera and two children, (Daughter) Doryana Hogan (Rivera) and her husband Mason Hogan, (Son) Joel Rivera, and grandkids Lincoln Hogan and Elayna Hogan.
Viewing will be from 10-12 on Saturday December 21st at Templo Cristiano Assembly of God followed by service and celebration of life officiated by Pastor Ruben Villanueva. nterment will follow at the Wauseon Union Cemetery. www.ShortFuneralHome.com
