Frances Bigger (1930 – 2018)

Frances C. Bigger, 88, of Montpelier, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier.  She was born January 20, 1930 in Hillsdale, MI to Francis and Mildred (Barnhart) Keating.  Frances graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1948.

Frances loved spending time with friends and family and her cats.  She was the master of crossword puzzles.  She also loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas.  She was a long time member of the Montpelier Women of the Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Frances is survived by one daughter, Kelly (Frank) Matranga of San Diego, CA, daughter in law Brenda Dauber of Bryan, grandchildren Corey (Jill) Dauber, Jennifer (John Goetz) Dauber, Annissa (Adam) Owens, Danielle (Juan) Morales, and Chelsea (Matt) Covello and 7 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Mary (Paul) Jones of Gainesville, GA and several nieces and nephews, with special attention to Linda (Carlos De Aristizabal) Wright of Greensboro, NC and Cheryl (Bill) Marriott of Hillsdale, MI, and Ron (Laurie) Sell of Jerome, MI, and Pat Mann of GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Kenneth Dauber, three brothers – John (Fred), William, and Basil Thompson, and sister Amy (Thompson) Sell. Per Frances’ request, there will be no visitation or service.  A private interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom, MI at a later date.
