Frederick Jacoby (1931-2019)

Frederick R. Jacoby, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Stuart, Florida, on February 17, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.  

Frederick was born May 24, 1931 and the only son of Frederick and Jean (McLuckie) Jacoby. On May 21, 1954 he married the love of his life Helen D. Ward and she preceded him in death on December 19, 2013.

Fred was honorably discharged from the Army where he served in Korea from 1952-1953. Fred was the co-founder of Form Tool & Manufacturing in Archbold, Ohio. He would later be an owner with his son Robert of Autoform Tool & Manufacturing in Angola, Indiana. Fred always had a giving heart and while in business used his kindness and business sense to touch many lives. Upon retirement in 1986, Fred and Helen retired to Stuart Florida where he enjoyed golfing and meeting new people at Miles Grant Golf Club.


Surviving are:  Sharon (Robert) Liechty of Archbold, Ohio, Robert (Darlene) Jacoby of Sarasota, Florida, Nancy (Rex) Vogelsong of Hamilton, Indiana and Michael (Jill) Jacoby of Edon Ohio   a Daughter-In-Law, Jodi (Jeff) Frank of Archbold Ohio Fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, James Alex Jacoby, and grandson, Justin Peter Meyer.  

A Celebration of Life, honoring Frederick R. Jacoby will be held at the Archbold American Legion from 1-4 on March 30, 2019. A private burial service will precede the celebration.

Memorials are requested to the American Legion Post 311 Archbold, Ohio. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with arrangements.
