The Fulton County Commissioners held their first meeting of the week on Tuesday, May 17th. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
Commissioners first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on May 10th. The agenda was then approved as well as the current bill list.
Reviews then took place for the following items. The April 2022 investment report, correspondence from the Ohio Department of Development pertaining to the CDBG Grant reduction for the
Fayette Street Improvement Project, and the weekly dog warden reports from periods ending 04/16/2022 to 05/07/22. A discussion then took place regarding oversize and overweight permits.
County Engineer Frank Onweller informed the Commissioners that everything previously went ok. There was a minor deflection in the beams as they went across the bridge and there was some difficulty getting around the corner at 5-2 and H.
Three final permits were then brought up for approval with each being passed. These permits are as follows.
-Resolution 2022-346 to approve permit #3-FCEHR2022-012.
-Resolution 2022-347 to approve permit #4-FCEHR2022-013.
-Resolution 2022-348 to approve permit #5-FCEHR2022-014.
Commissioners then voted to approve the following agenda items.
-Resolution 2022-339 for the increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments.
-Resolution 2022-340 to authorize the Board President to execute a request for funds and certification for CDBG Grant- B-F-21-1AX-1 – Wauseon demo project.
-Resolution 2022-341 to approve contract 2022-57 with Henschen and Associates for software services on behalf of the Clerk of Courts.
-Resolution 2022-342 to award a bid for the Fulton County Fairgrounds Hog Barn Project.
-Resolution 2022-343 to reject all bids for the Nature Fresh Commercial Drive Project.
-Resolution 2022-344 to approve a personnel request on behalf of the JFS for a new hire.
-Resolution 2022-345 to approve purchase orders and travel requests.

Commissioner then moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:12 a.m.
The second meeting of the week was then held on Thursday, May 19th. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
The meeting first started with the opening of bids for the County Road 22/23 resurfacing project. One bid was received from Gerken with an amount of $2,464,167.32. The bid information was then turned over to the County Engineer.
The regular meeting then began with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. Commissioners first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on May 17th.
The agenda was then approved as amended due to Resolution 352 being pulled. Commissioners then reviewed petition for annexation 2022-002 for the Village of Delta. It was stated that all but one property in the area to annex has signed on.
When asked what the game plan is by Commissioner Joe Short, Delta Village Administrator Peebles stated that it is part of the village’s 20-year plan and that they are looking to continue growth in the area. The following agenda items were then approved.
-Resolution 2022-351 to set a hearing date for annexation petition 2022-002 for the Village of Delta.
-Resolution 2022-352 for the increase & transfer of appropriations for various departments.

-Resolution 2022-353 to approve contract 2022-58 with Ward Construction for the 2022 Seal Coat Project on behalf of the Engineer.
-Resolution 2022-354 to enter into a 2022 partnership agreement 2022-59 with Maumee Valley East CHIP Joint Consortium.
-Resolution 2022-355 to approve purchase orders and travel requests.
The meeting was then entered into recess until 9:30 a.m. for the first hearing for Ditch 2146 – Clinton Township. Following the hearing the meeting was adjourned.
