
Glenn L. “Buck” Dielman, 86, of Holland, Ohio, and Melbourne, Fla., passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018. Buck was born in Napoleon on Sept. 14, 1932, the son of the late Lawrence and Vadys (Turpening) Dielman. He married Aletta Gype in 1987, and she survives.
Prior to retirement, he was co-owner of Dielman, Inc. with his brother, Harold “Oky,” and his father, Lawrence. They purchased the business in 1947 and built it over the years to include plants all over northwest Ohio. They employed hundreds of faithful employees before selling the business in 2005.
Buck was also an avid collector of Mercedes-Benz cars and had accumulated 54 in his years of collecting. He also raised horses and enjoyed golfing.
Also surviving is a daughter, Amy Dugan of Holland, Ohio; a son, Bard Dielman of Arizona; four stepsons, Rod (Donna) Saunders of Liberty Center, Ryan (Michele) Saunders of Holland, Ohio, Rick (Dexter) Saunders of San Diego, Calif., and Randy (Filipe) Saunders of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold “Oky” Dielman and Donald Dielman.
A memorial service will be held in Ohio at a later date. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with local arrangements.
