Helga E. Weis, age 75, of Archbold, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at CHP – Defiance Inpatient Hospice. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a receptionist for Associate Allergists and Asthma Specialists in Barrington, Illinois for over 20 years.
Helga was born in West Berlin, Germany on October 11, 1949, the daughter of Robert and Edith (Schmidtchen) Fiege. On March 25, 1972 she married Waldemar Krauleidis, and he preceded her in death in 1998. Helga loved to crochet, enjoyed her Christmas Cactus’, she loved tigers and her Chow dog, “Cocoa Bear”.
Surviving is her daughter, Ursula Johnson of Pioneer, OH; grandchildren, Hannah Jerik, Kayla Dusek and Joshua Dusek. Also surviving is her sister, Anita Haertel and brother, Helmut Fiege. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Hans Krauleidis, and sister Renate Lange.
Funeral arrangements are pending. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the benevolence of the family.
