AYERSVILLE – The Hilltop Lady Cadets squared off against host Ayersville in the consolation round of the Ayersville Holiday Tournament on December 28. The host Lady Pilots frustrated the Lady Cadets for the first half, but a 20-6 uprising in the third put the game firmly in the hands of the Ladies in Red, 51-43.
Jackie Smith led all scorers with 17 points, 7 boards and 4 steals for Hilltop, while Hannah Bleikamp dropped in 16 points. Sam Lillemon put up 6 points, Cierra Carpenter had 5 points, Emily Armbruster had 5 points and 6 assists, and Kelly Geis had 2 points.
