Ila Mae Frank, age 87, of Wauseon, passed away on May 13, 2023 at the Fulton Manor Nursing Home in Wauseon. Ila worked as a bookkeeper at People’s State Bank, and later for Wauseon Foundry.
Ila Mae was born on December 20, 1935 in Wauseon to the late Elmer O. and Alice S. (Bernath) Nofziger. On November 26, 1955, she married Donald Frank, who preceded her in death in 2016.
Ila Mae was a life member of the Wauseon VFW, a member of the Wauseon American Legion, was a board member of the community organization in Punta Gorda, FL, and her and Donald were members of the Friendship Methodist Church in Punta Gorda, FL.
Ila Mae was a great artist, and loved to paint. She also enjoyed golfing, mushroom hunting, the beach, and their time spent at their place on Lake Pleasant and their home in Punta Gorda, FL. Ila Mae adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Ila Mae is her son, Jeffery Lee (Kim) Frank of Montpelier; daughter, Jody Lee (Robert) Weber of Hamilton, IN; grandchildren, Joshua (Lisa) Frank and Jordan (Jenalee) Frank; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Jameson, Nora, Solomon, and Oliver; and brothers, Larry and Neil (Dee) Nofziger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and parents.
Visitation for Ila Mae will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the First Church of God in Wauseon from 10am to 12pm. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at the church at 12pm, with Pastor Maryann Reimund officiating. Burial will follow at the Wauseon Union Cemetery.
