Jimmie Lee Anders, 76, of Montpelier and formerly of Defiance passed away Tuesday night at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. He was born on July 22, 1938 in Edon, Ohio to Thomas and Maxine (Koby) Anders. Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
On April 1, 1993 he retired as a sonic tester from GM Foundry in Defiance after 30 years. Jimmie was a lifetime member of the Defiance Amvets.
Jimmie is survived by one son, John Kreischer of Montpelier; one daughter Deb Fugate of Montpelier; one sister, Alice (Tom) Watts of Montpelier; one nephew Mark Watts of Montpelier; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Eugene Lee Kreischer.
Graveside services will be on Tuesday, April 14th at 10am at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Richard Blank to officiate.
