John Spencer Tiffany, age 54, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Fulton County Health Center. John was a Science and Technology Teacher for Wauseon High School for 20 years. He also owned and operated Tiffany’s Café in Wauseon. John was an active member of the Wauseon Downtown Merchants Association. He took great pride in supporting local youth through employment at his café.
John was born in Durand, Wisconsin on March 1, 1960, the son of Spencer and Norma (Myrdal) Tiffany. John received his Bachelors in Restaurant Management from The Ohio State University and his Masters of Education from Bowling Green State University. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon. John enjoyed music, gardening and sports. Most of all he loved his son, family and friends, and enjoying every moment with them and making memories that will last forever.
Surviving is his son, Alexander John Tiffany; his fiancé, Sonia Potts; his mother, Norma Tiffany of Wauseon; his siblings, Blair (Debbie) Tiffany of Wabash, IN, Susan Shore of Crystal Lake, IL, Sandy (John) Penvose of Tampa, FL, and Lisa (Todd) Seiler of Montpelier, and many nieces and nephews. In February of this year, John was preceded in death by his father, Spencer Tiffany.
