Juan Villarreal, age 78, of Wauseon, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Fulton County Health Center.
He was born October 17, 1943 to Abram and Cristela (Cavazos) Villarreal in Sinton, Texas.
He married the love of his life, Elva (Chapa) Villarreal on December 13, 1964 in Odom, Texas. Juan worked for over 35 years for GM Powertrain, retiring in 2007.
When he wasn’t working, he loved to fish, traveling internationally and domestically, spend time with his family and grandchildren and he and Elva faithfully served God through mission work in Mexico and here in the States including prisons and migrant workers just to name a few. Serving God wholeheartedly through others was his devotion.
Surviving Juan are his children, Yvette Villarreal, Deanna Villarreal, Armina Villarreal, Juan (Carrie) Villarreal, Luis (Jennifer) Villarreal, Emilio Villarreal, and Masy “Maria” Villarreal. She is also survived by grandchildren, Cori, Carey (Mike), Justin (Julia), Jozlyn, Oscar, Jace, Saul, Marcel, Lauren (Noah), Jimmy, Isaiah, Brandi, Jada, Aresa, Meika, Isabela, and LuLu; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Ricardo, Savas and Abram, Jr. Villarreal.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 3-7:00 p.m. at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, 219 S. Fulton St., Wauseon, OH with his Funeral Service starting at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022 in the funeral home with dear family friend, Rev. Eleazar Rodriguez. Interment will follow in Wauseon Union Cemetery.
