(Resident Of Pulaski Township)

Sandra Kay Harrington, age 67 years, passed into her eternal home on Friday evening, January 17, 2025 at her home in Pulaski Township, Ohio.

Sandra was born in Goshen, Indiana on May 6, 1957 to Robert Dils and Loyetta (White) Mikesell. In 1959, Loyetta and Sandra moved to Bryan, Ohio.

It was in December of 1973, at Carlin’s Hardware, that she met Russell Lee Harrington. On October 7, 1979 they were joined in Holy Matrimony at The First Brethren Church of Bryan, Ohio.

They spent their 45 years of marriage traveling, exploring, and sharing in their love of nature, history, and family.

Sandra had a natural curiosity and passion for life. Throughout her life she was deeply devoted to the natural world. She shared her love of nature through coordinating a tree giveaway for Earth Day, building loon nesting platforms with Russell, and her many memberships and charitable donations to conservation organizations.

Sandra enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen and showed her love of friends and family through the sharing of meals. She was an avid gardener whose intuitive ability to cultivate life was magical to witness.

One of Sandra’s greatest loves was the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She, her husband, and two daughters spent many summers reveling in Michigan’s spectacular beauty.

It was a dream come true when in September 2013, she and Russell were able to purchase their own cabin in Paradise, Michigan. After managing the Dairy Department of Chief Supermarket for 43 years, she spent the first year of her much earned retirement at the cabin.

Sandra was preceded in death by Loyetta and Eugene Mikesell, Robert Dils, Pal and Max Schwartz, and David Mikesell.

She will be missed by those surviving her; Russell Harrington, Marilla (Zac) Chmielewski, Murphy Harrington, Chad Machinksi, and Ty (Julie) Mikesell.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.
