Mabel Ann Klinger, age 89 years, of Archbold, went home to her Lord and savior on Friday afternoon December 12, 2025 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.

She was born on September 12, 1936, in Pettisville, the daughter of Truman and Luetta (Gautsche) Roth. She married the love of her life Verlan W. Klinger on January 4, 1964, and he survives.

As a lifelong member of the Archbold area she maintained a loving home for Verlan and her children establishing her own day care for working families while raising her own children.

Her working endeavors throughout the years included Sauders Manufacturing at a young age where she met her husband, Baking for the Doughbox Bakery and then Yoder and Frey Cushion later becoming Riley Tractor Supply.

She perfected many skills and enjoyed being a seamstress making her famous blankets, quilts and her knitting for the Sunshine Children’s Home.

She was an active member of the Zion Mennonite Church where she instilled the word of Christ and volunteered as much as possible including her trip helping flood victims through Mennonite disaster relief.

As a fan of Gospel Music she and Verlan would often travel with the Chuck Wagon Gang spreading the word of the Lord. After working at Little Eden Camp at a young age she fulfilled a loving relationship at the camp tradition with the entire family for more than fifty years.

Mabel was blessed with a loving nature, calm and friendly personality and a witty demeanor. She gave of herself to everyone she came in contact with and was the family forge of stability. Her love of her children and family, her love of Christ and love of life itself were steadfast.

She is survived by her loving husband of Sixty-one years, Verlan and her four Children; Steven (Karen) Klinger of Avilla, Indiana, Sheri (Richard) Wood of Archbold, Neil (Sara) Klinger of Archbold, Nedra (James) Kane of Lebanon, OH; Twelve Grandchildren; Ten Great-Grandchildren; her brother, James (Barbara) Roth of Wauseon, OH; and Sister, Marlene (Gene) Graf of Fayette, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Roger (Karen) Roth of Archbold.
