Madeline Hall WEBMadeline Margaret (Boetz) Hall,  92, passed away on Sunday evening, March 8, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 16, 1922 in Williams County, the daughter of  August and Germaine (Segers) Boetz.  On March 27, 1943, she married Donald Wyatt Hall, who preceded her in death October, 1994.

She was school secretary at Tiffin School, Tinora Junior High School, and worked at Defiance County Clerk of Courts for many years.

She enjoyed sewing, making crafts, polka and square dancing, watching NASCAR, and being with her grandchildren.

Madeline was a member of Evansport United Methodist Church.


Madeline is survived by children Patty (Terry) Fruth, and Ricky (Julia) Hall, of Defiance. grandchildren Angela (Mike) Kwiatkowski, Bryan, Andrew (Kathryn) Fruth,  Defiance,  Abby (Kent) Siebern, Angola, Indiana, Nicola (Robert) Guisinger, Chad (Betsi) Hall, and Chelsea Hall, all of Defiance;  twelve great-grandchildren, Margaret (Maggie), Emma, Joshua, and Grace Kwiatkowski; Wyatt, Westin, and Wade Fruth, Jacob, Joseph, and Levi Guisinger, Hayden and Aubrey Hall.  Preceding her in death were brothers, George and Maurice Boetz.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, statues, and other funeral memorabilia, donations be made to Evansport United Methodist Church, Facility Improvement Fund, Defiance Area Society for the Handicapped (DASH), Community Health Professionals – Defiance Hospice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker, is entrusted with arrangements.
