(September 18th, 2014)-ARCHBOLD: In an NWOAL junior high match-up, Montpelier traveled to Archbold to do battle against the Lady Blue Streaks of Archbold. The trip was not a fruitful one, however, as the Lady Locos lost both the Seventh and Eighth Grade matches.

The Seventh Grade Locomotives fell behind early in the match, dropping the first set 16-25. Ever resilient, the girls of Montpelier struck back in game 2, taking the set 25-19. Revitalized, the Lady Locomotives pushed Archbold to their very limits in game 3. They fell just shy of the victory, though, losing game 3 and the match to the Blue Streaks 26-23.

In the Eighth Grade match, the competition was heated right away. Montpelier gave it their all, but couldn’t work their way past Archbold, dropping game 1 23-25. With game 1 under their belts, the Lady Blue Streaks came out fired up for game 2. The Lady Locos struggled to keep pace, and lost the second and final set 16-25.
