St. Paul’s United Methodist Church on the corner of Broad & Wayne St., Montpelier, will host their annual Homemade Ice Cream Social Friday, June 26th with serving from 4:30-7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Menu includes hot chicken or sloppy joe sandwiches, homemade potato salad, baked beans, beverage, fruit pies, cake, and, of course, homemade ice cream, all for freewill donation. This project is co-sponsored by the United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men, some of whom are pictured freezing the homemade ice cream for last year’s event—from left to right are Dale Fritsch, Steve Bauer, Larry Newbauer, and Charlie Schelling. Proceeds are designated for various mission projects throughout the year.
