Nadine K. Morehouse, age 62 years, of Defiance, passed away Thursday evening, June 20, 2013, in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 24, 1951, in Wauseon, the daughter of Wayne and Ruby (Roesch) Pike, and married Jerry Morehouse on June 26, 1971. A 1969 graduate of Hilltop High School and then Northwest State Community College. She was a homemaker. She loved her flowers, enjoyed gardening, and really loved time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the West Fulton Dunkard Brethren Church, rural Wauseon.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; four children, Holly (Elbie) Atkinson of Defiance, Sheri (Terry) House of Niles, MI, Scott (Katrina) Morehouse of Sherwood, and Amy Yates of Defiance; nine grandchildren, Tristan, Hannah, Olivia and Walker Atkinson, Seth, Evan, and Chloe Morehouse, Larkin and Kayti Yates; her parents, Wayne and Ruby Pike of West Unity; four sisters, Dianne (Paul) Heisey, and Brenda (Pete) Beck both of West Unity, Nedra Pike of Defiance and Renee (Steve) Heisey of West Unity.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony; grandparents, Melvin and Sarah Roesch and Lucius and Mable Pike.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at the West Fulton Dunkard Brethren Church with Ministers Brant Jamison, Robert Carpenter and Fred Johnson officiating.
