PIONEER – The North Central Eagles had the last word in a last man standing-type of game on January 19. The visiting Hicksville Aces were giving the hometown boys fits for the first three quarters, and had an edge in momentum going into the fourth. It was in the fourth that Kole Peterson and Clayton Ferguson each drained threes that keyed a 16-9 run to put the Eagles on top at the final buzzer, 59-54.
Ferguson and Jalen Dancer each had 13 to lead the Eagles, while Brandon Geiser had 6. Dylan Hutchison had 5 points, Josh Taylor 4, and Peterson and Branden Turner each had 3 points,
