North Central Lady Eagles Split Double Header With Lady Vikings At Home

PIONEER, April 5 2014: – On the Lady Eagles home diamond on April 5, the Lady Eagles played host to the Vikings. Makayla Hayes recorded an 8-7 victory in game 1, going the distance in the victory, while Reese Cogswell and Jazmine Becker split duties in game 2, falling 8-1.

Game #1

Hayes not only threw for the win from the mound, she put on an offensive show as well, blasting 2 doubles and driving in 4 RBI’s. Macayla Wildrick hit for a single and a double, while teammates Rachael Oxender and Tristin Tomblin each had an RBI. Sabrina Pickford and Alyssa Swank also had singles in the victory.

Game #2

Reese Cogswell went 4 innings on the mound, allowing 6 runs off of 5 hits, while recording 2 strikeouts. Jazmine Becker closed out the effort, going 3 innings giving up 2 runs while allowing 3 hits.

Rachael Oxender had the big bat for the Lady Eagles, grinding out a double and a single, while Alyssa Swank and Makayla Hayes each connected for a single.
