METAMORA- Evergreen exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Vikings broke a 2-2 tie, defeating Delta 11-2 in Northwest Ohio Athletic League action.

Avah Vaculik enjoyed a big day from the leadoff spot in the Vikings’ batting order. She went 3 for 4, including a home run and a double, and drove in four runs and scored a pair of runs.

Leah McVey had two hits, including a double and an RBI, for Evergreen (8-4, 2-1 NWOAL). Peyton Mossing homered and drove in two runs. Maya Vance, Riley Studenka and Sydney Bull each had a double.

Graycn Pelton and Annabell Gillen each had two hits for Delta (3-7, 0-2 NWOAL). Mya Martinez had a double.

Mossing was the winning pitcher for Evergreen, allowing seven hits with six strikeouts.
