Pauline Frazier

Pauline FrazierPauline Schwab, beloved wife of Leon Frazier for 60 years went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2016.  She was born in Wauseon, Ohio on August 28, 1918 and was nearly 98 years old. She was a lifelong resident of Wauseon, Ohio and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Upon her graduation from Wauseon High school in 1936 she began working in retail at Merrill’s gift shop and trained as a dental hygienist for Dr Boucher both in Wauseon. She married the love of her life, Leon (“Bud”) Frazier on June 8, 1941. Together they had two children, Barton and Cheryl.

She was baptized November 10, 1918 at Trinity Lutheran Church and always had a great love for studying the Bible and preparing studies for her church women’s groups. She also taught Sunday school and catechism classes. Pauline was also active with the WHS band boosters staring the tradition of having a doughnut stand at the Fulton County Fair. After retiring as a bookkeeper from the Wauseon Silo Company, Pauline organized a church outreach ministry to the deaf in the NW Ohio synod. She and her husband took special classes to learn how to sign and communicate with the deaf. She loved getting to know the world of her deaf friends and entertaining them in her home. Pauline knew where she would be going after death and now has no pain or suffering.

Preceded in death by: Husband “Bud” Frazier, parents, John and  Anna Marie Schwab,  sisters, Hulda Schwab, Marie Vollmer, Virginia Henry Wise, and Betty Lucas; brothers, John Schwab (infant) and Floyd Schwab; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Moore.


Survived by son, Bart Frazier (Karen) and daughter, Cheryl Moore (Michael) of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren: Beth Frazier Perez (Victor of Wauseon), Scott Frazier (Archbold), Brian Frazier, Marc Moore (Joann of Adrian) and Stefan Moore (Lindsey of Phoenix); great-grandchildren, Anthony Moore, Jessica Perez, Andrew Perez and Trevor Moore (Phoenix); sister, Leah Peart (Napoleon, Ohio); brother, Richard Schwab (San Antonio, Texas) and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with visitation to be held from 10:00 a.M. until the service at 11:00 A.M. Lunch will be served after the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church, 398 S. Shoop Ave. in Wauseon, Ohio 43567, Cancer Response Team at 40251 N. Patriot Way in Anthem, Arizona 85086 or Alpine Village Assisted Living at 1032 South Perry St. in Napoleon, Ohio 43545. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
