Ralph Bunting, of Wauseon, better known as “Butch”, passed away in his home on March 14, 2023 at the age of 78.
Ralph was born in Toledo, Ohio, August 25, 1944 and was the son of Chester & Donelda Bunting. He married Sharon Tuggle and she survives.
He was a veteran in the United States Navy having served from 1963 – 1967.
He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, working with his hands and was an avid carpenter.
Ralph had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help someone in need.
Surviving are his wife Sharon, daughters, Melinda Grindle & Renee Bentley; son, Matthew Bunting; stepdaughter Sheila Smith; stepson, Jim (Jeanette) Smith He had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loved very much. Also surviving are his sisters, Carolyn (Clarence) Johnston Fern Hall, Barb Shaffer, Margie Burress and Brother, Marlowe (Bonnie) Eidenier.
Preceding him in death were his parents and daughter, Vicki Bunting.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 11am – 1:00pm at Haven Heights Baptist Church in Wauseon. A funeral service will follow visitation at 1pm with Pastor Lance Wyse officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Wauseon Union Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Fulton County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Promedica Hospice Care or donor’s choice.
