Robert A. Borckardt, age 76, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020, at Regency of Grand Blanc. Bob graduated from Bryan High School in 1961. He was a graduate of Fenn College (now Cleveland State University) and a certified public accountant.
Bob retired as comptroller of Gentner Transport, Inc., of Saline, Michigan. In his free time, he enjoyed gambling, golf, fishing and especially Western movies.
Bob was born on Nov. 24, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Robert and Celestine (Stark) Borckardt. Surviving are his son, Jeffrey (Debra) Borckardt of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; grandchildren, Aiden and Abigail; and three sisters, Catherine (Douglas) Ransdell, Patricia (Gregory) Payne and Barbara Weigert. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard, who passed away in January 2020.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, no services are planned at this time. A celebration of life honoring both brothers will be held at a later date.
