Roger L. Leininger

Roger L. Leininger, age 72, of Wauseon passed away late Friday December 11, 2015 at the Advanced Specialty Hospital in Toledo. Prior to his retirement he had worked as a truck driver for more than 35 years.

Mr. Leininger was born on February 6, 1943 in Wauseon the son of the late Oliver and the late Betty (Taylor) Leininger. On October 10, 1970 he married his wife Sheryl and she survives. As well as driving trucks he was also a former stone cutter and engraver with Maumee Valley Memorials. He also enjoyed horses and loved taking care of them.

Surviving besides his wife are his children; Roger (Katey) Leininger, Jr., William (Spring) Leininger, Terry Leininger, Tammy (William) White, Trevor (Jennifer) Leininger, grandchildren; Kory Smith, Dalton Leininger, Chelsea, Kaylee, Destinie, Amanda, and Sabrina Leininger, Nicole Sumner, Brittani Leininger, Cortney Ramin, Alexis and Gunner White, Paige, Kyle, Audrey and Garrett Leininger. Also surviving are great-grandchildren; Dante Pentland, Natalia Cummins, Isabella Coulter and siblings; Roberta Spadafore, Dwight (Sue) Leininger, Robin (Larry) Babb and Jerry Leininger.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were brothers; Oliver Ross and Harold Leininger and son Douglas Leininger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday December 15, 2015 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Tim Moebs officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00-8:00pm. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com.
