The Superior Township Board of Trustees met Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, for a brief meeting focused on road maintenance updates and preparations for the fall season.
Trustees Jacob Borton, Dan Gillen and Michael Trausch were present, along with Fiscal Officer Venessa Shepard and Road Supervisor Cody Boyd.
Boyd reported that a new “Stop Ahead” sign was installed south of the intersection of County Road I and County Road 8.50. He said he hopes to complete the township’s mowing schedule and begin durapatching roads before the next meeting.
Boyd also reported that one of the township’s Grasshopper mowers had been returned from maintenance and is operating well. Trustees discussed the possibility of purchasing a new mower this fall, likely in October or November.
Trustees also reviewed a Kinsman Propane pre-buy program, which allows the township to purchase propane in bulk at a discounted rate for the winter season.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 3:49 p.m. The next Superior Township Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for Aug. 18, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.
