Superior Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, May 19 at the township office.

The meeting was called to order with trustees Mike Trausch, Dan Gillen and Jake Borton in attendance; Fiscal Officer Vanessa Shepard and road supervisor Cody Boyd were also present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A review of the updated rules and regulations of Riverside Cemetery followed. It was noted that the cemetery is not responsible for repair or replacement of property damaged by a falling tree, limb or other natural occurrence.

It was noted that such damaged property is considered personal property. Owners were advised that such property may be covered under their homeowner’s insurance policy as personal property but may be subject to the policyholder’s deductible.

Trustees discussed a plan of action for foundation and stone repair for Lyle Brigle. No decision was made at this time and trustees will be getting more information.

In other matters, Ward Construction of Leipsic has confirmed to the township they are on the list for chip and seal work for this summer. Hinkle Trucking of Pioneer confirmed there will be 475 tons of stone to be delivered.

Trustees will be sending out a second bill via certified mail to the Window Doctor for a fire run which occurred in December 2025.

Tom’s Lawn and Garden of Bryan will be contacted for repair work on the 2025 Grasshopper mower.

Boyd reported he had completed ditch repairs on County Road 12, County Road 8.50 South of County Road I and County Road 10. He also seeded the ditch on County Road 8.50 and weed trimmed the cemetery.

Trustees reviewed Resolution 2026-4 and amended Resolution 2026-3 correcting a citation involving Ohio Revised Code 5401.181.

Following the approval of the May financial report and payment of bills, the meeting was adjourned.
