BRYAN (April 2, 2026) – Archbold and Bryan, who are expected to be among the top contenders in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League track and field scene this spring, turned in several impressive performances in winning their respective divisions in the Bryan Invitational held at Golden Bear Stadium.
With a sweep of all four relay events, Archbold dominated by winning the girls division title with 156½ points. Patrick Henry was runner-up with 112 points followed by Bryan (81), Ottawa Hills (68), Antwerp (67), Paulding (60), Swanton (59) and Edgerton (53½).
The Streaks powered their way to the front, winning the 400 (51.71), 800 (1:51.9), 1600 (4:18.55) and 3200 (10:46.47) relay titles.
Archbold claimed three individual titles led by Mariah Mireles, who swept both the 100 (16.67) and 300 (46.63) hurdle races. Anna Shields claimed the pole vault title (8-0).
Swanton had two individual champions with Lauren Bettinger winning the 800 (2:28.10) and Audrey Robinson claiming the long jump (16-5).
In the boys meet, Bryan was led by junior sprinter Spencer Woodward, who swept all three sprint events, winning the 100 (11.7), 200 (23.57) and 400 (50.90) titles to lead the Golden Bears to the championship with 161½ points.
