The Williams County Commissioners met Thursday, August 20, 2026, to hold the bid opening for Project 4-2026 with the Engineer’s Office.
Commissioner Vice President Bart Westfall and Terry Rummel were in attendance. An EMS employee resignation was accepted. It was said the employee will be transferring to the County Engineer’s Office.
Commissioners also approved supplemental appropriations and the payment of bills.
Following the regular portion of the meeting, a County Employee Benefits Consortium of Ohio (CEBCO) insurance renewal review was held with Andres O’Neil and Lowe Insurance Agency. Insurance plans for employees were reviewed, but no final changes were made.
A bid opening for Project 4-2026 was held with Todd Roth and Ron Buda of the Engineer’s Office. One bid was submitted, by Gerken Paving, Inc., for $405,756.50.
The project will be partially covered by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC), which will provide 45.9 percent of the funding. The work will take place on CR 15, through U.S. Route 6, to South Street, Bryan.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:06 a.m. The next Williams County Commissioners meeting is scheduled for August 25, 2026.
