Williams County Commissioners Lew Hilkert and Brian Davis began the week of March 7, 2022 with an Executive Session, with Sheriff Tom Kochert present, for discipline of a public employee.

The session lasted 50 minutes and there was no action taken.

During the regular session which went from 10:52 a.m. to 10:56 a.m., the commissioners approved:

-Resolution 77 Transfer resolution on behalf of Board of Elections and Common Pleas Court

-Resolution 78 Approving an Emergency Purchase of 2009 Kubota Tractor on behalf of Todd Roth, WC Engineer

-Resolution 79 Entering into an Agreement on behalf of WC Juvenile Court

-Resolution 80 Accepting and Awarding bid in regards to project #3-2022, to K-Tech out of Ashley, Indiana ($2.23 per gallon of asphalt emulsion)

-Also signed was a formal apology letter to Vickie Grimm, WC County Auditor regarding the meeting on February 7, 2022 concerning Dog Warden Bills/Tags.

During the February 7 meeting, Grimm had shared her frustration that they had informed her of a concern via letter rather than in person, expressing that discussing things in person seems more respectful and unified.

Before adjourning for the day, Commissioner Davis asked Clerk Anne Retcher to prepare a resolution authorizing the Director of EMS to expend up to but not more than $2500 without prior Board approval, as they have had a like agreement with Hillside in the past.
