The Williams County Port Authority met on August 23, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.  First approved were the minutes of the June 28, and the August 17, 2023 meetings, as well as the bills as presented through August 23, 2023.

The authority then approved an extension of their contract with Fackler Construction Company, and the purchase agreement for 313 North Oak Street in Edon before sharing construction updates.

The authority is hoping to see homes finished within the next 30 to 90 days in Bryan, Montpelier, and Edgerton, and is looking to start off 2024 with construction in Edon, Montpelier, Stryker, and West Unity.

Their goal is to have 25 houses built throughout 2024, with constraints around frozen ground and depletion of funds with regards to how many projects are going on at once.

The Authority then entered into executive session at 5:48 p.m.
