Frank R. Michalkiewicz Jr, age 70, of Delta, passed away unexpectedly at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Monday morning, January 2, 2023.
He was born in Wauseon on July 17, 1952 to the late Frank R. Michalkiewicz Sr. and Helen (Stevens) Michalkiewicz.
Frank graduated from Delta High School in 1970 and went on to receive his Associate Degree from the University of Toledo. On July 15, 1972 he married Cheryl Ham in Delta.
From this marriage they were blessed with three daughters, Kristin, Margo, and Nicole.
Before retiring, Frank worked for Bowerman Carpet in Delta, Firehouse Pizza, and most recently was owner and operator of Frank’s Grill and Catering.
He was an active member of the Delta United Methodist Church; where he served as sound technician during services; along with coordinating fish fries and many other activities at the church.
Frank served as chair of the Fulton County Democratic Party and was a member of the Delta Community Club and Delta Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cheryl; daughters, Kristin Michalkiewicz of Delta, Margo (Keith) Coates of Pataskala, OH and Nicole Michalkiewicz of Reynoldsburg, OH; brothers, Ted (Betty) Bzovi of Wauseon and John (Mary Ann) Bzovi of Delta; sister, Angela (Harold) Franks of Toledo; grandchildren, Jack and Charlie Coates.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Phillips.
Friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta. A funeral service celebrating Frank’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Delta United Methodist Church, 101 Northwood Dr., Delta Ohio 43515. Pastor Kent Winkler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.
