Ronald Fenicle (1946 – 2024)

(Retired From Powers & Sons In Montpelier)

Ronald E. Fenicle, 78 of Montpelier passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 19, 1946 in Bridgewater Township to Arthur W. and Ella V. (Keller) Fenicle.

Ron graduated from North Central High School in 1964 and then went on to serve his country in the Army Reserves. On June 5, 1970 he married Linda D. Knecht in Bryan, Ohio and she survives.

Ron retired after 47 years of employment at Powers and Sons in Montpelier as a tool maker. He and Linda were avid campers, and spent over 34 years at Circle B Campgrounds in Angola, Indiana. Ron was a member of the Montpelier Eagles and the Montpelier Moose.

He is survived by his wife Linda for over 54 years; three children Tobi E. Fenicle of Montpelier, Curt (Patty) Bandeen of Monclova, Ohio and Corisa Spisak of Toledo, Ohio; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and brother Larry (Marna) Fenicle of Phoenix, Arizona.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, son Loni Fenicle, grandson Brannan Sniadecki and brother Leroy Fenicle.

Visitation hours for Ron will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Stiver to officiate. Ron will be buried at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer with military graveside rites provided by the Pioneer Veterans.
