Hicksville Resident Indicted For Internet Crimes Against Children

PRESS RELEASE – On April 15, 2025, Robert Z. Geyer, 40 of Hicksville was arrested on an indictment from the Defiance County Court of Common Pleas.

The indictment was a result of an investigation conducted by the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Hicksville Police Department.

In July 2024, the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children task force submitted a tip to the Hicksville Police Department. In August, officers with the Hicksville Police Department, BCI and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant at Geyer’s home in Hicksville.


As a result of the investigation, Geyer was indicted on:

•One count of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor or impaired person, a second-degree felony.

•One count of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, a fifth-degree felony.

Geyer was transported to the Corrections Center of NW Ohio. He will appear in Defiance Common Pleas Court for arraignment when the date is scheduled.
