Norman L. Fiser 62, of Pioneer died late Friday evening at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance. He was born on August 19, 1950 in Wauseon Ohio to James L. “Jimbo” and Elaine L (Schmucker) Fiser. Norm graduated from North Central High School in 1968 and then attended Rangely College for two years in Rangely Colorado.
Norm was a machinist for Action Precision Products in Pioneer until 2008. During this time he also worked for 23 years at the North Central Schools as a custodian becoming Head Custodian in 2008 until his death.
Norm is survived by his mother Elaine Fiser of Pioneer, one son Erich (Amelia) Fiser of Omaha Nebraska, two daughters Emilee E. Fiser of Pioneer and Elicia (Toby) Zimmerman of Pioneer, eight grandchildren, two brothers Al (Ronda) Fiser of Pioneer, Steve Fiser and Bev Black of Pioneer, one sister Cheryl (Gary) Murray of Montpelier and his significant other Amy J. Cheesbro.
Norm was preceded in death by his father “Jimbo” Fiser.
Visitation hours for Norm will be on Monday February 4th from 4-8pm in the Jr. High gymnasium at North Central Schools. Services will be on Tuesday at 2:30pm at the Pioneer United Methodist Church with Reverend Michael Raypholtz to officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.
