Bettie Ann Jones, age 95, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully passed away at her Delta home Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022.
She was born in Grant City, Missouri on September 15, 1926, one of ten children to Ruben Anderson and Opal (Stull) Anderson.
After graduating from Colorado Springs High School in 1944 and attending college for two years, Bettie worked for the telephone company as a long-distance switch board operator for many years and on May 1, 1952, married Earl Jones; who passed away on December 25, 1986.
Together they were blessed with four children, Judy, Julie, Gary and Todd. After raising their four children, Bettie returned to work at various factory jobs before retiring.
Bettie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Delta and enjoyed walking, gardening, reading and most of all spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Judy (Ronald) Young, Julie (Marc) Louis and Gary Jones; grandchildren, Eddie (Kimberly Dale) Young, Elyssa (Stephen) Ivy, Emily (Tyler) Venable, Ethan (Victoria) Young, Zachary Louis, Abigail (Tony) Lopez and Elizabeth (Luke) Schroeder; great grandchildren, Tanner, Dyllan, Hunter, Ashton, Addison, Cole, Lucas, Rosie, Brayden and Brittan; great great grandson, Oliver; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband; Bettie was preceded in death by her son, Todd E. Jones on August 18, 2013; siblings, Retha Anderson, Eugene Anderson, Virginia Stevenson, June Ramey, Robert Ellis Anderson, Ina Marker, Earl Anderson, Reuben Anderson and an infant brother.
Friends will be received from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515; where a memorial service will follow beginning at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday. Duane Cordray will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.
