The Chesterfield Township trustees held their regular meeting on Monday, June 22. The meeting began at 7:02 p.m., followed by approval of the regular meeting minutes and bills presented for payment.
Trustees were informed that the 2024-2025 audit has been completed, with the final report now received, and the audit showing no violations or recommendations.
Fiscal Officer Peggy Volkman reviewed several financial reports with trustees, including the payment register, receipt register, fund status, cash journal and cash summary by fund. A payment listing covering June 2 through June 22 was also reviewed. Trustees also reviewed the May sheriff’s report during the meeting.
Under roads, the Fulton County Engineer’s Office informed the township that soil borings would be performed on Road 15-1 between State Route 120 and County Road ST.
The work was expected to be completed by June 23. In zoning, trustees noted that the lot split for the Schroeder property is being completed.
Under cemetery business, trustees discussed interest in hiring someone to map the township’s cemeteries. They plan to begin exploring who may be interested in completing the work. The meeting was then adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
