The Dover Township Board of Trustees held its meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The meeting began at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees then approved the minutes from the previous regular meeting as written.
Fiscal Officer Dianne Valentine presented the board with the previous month’s bank reconciliation, fund summary, appropriation status and revenue status for review. Reports for the current month’s receipts and payment listing were also presented. Trustees approved the monthly payment listing in the amount of $47,373.26.
Under maintenance, fuel usage logs were reviewed, and personnel matters were discussed, with no action taken while the board awaited further documentation.
Trustees also discussed noxious weed control for overpasses and looked into finding an ergonomic handle for a weed whip. The board noted that options would be searched through Amazon before the fiscal officer placed an order.
Trustees also noted that a quote for tree removal on township property had not yet been received. In unfinished business, trustees noted the passing of Kermit Harmon and discussed contact information for his daughter in the event the property needed to be addressed.
Under new business, Trustee Steve Gustwiller reported that he had attended the regular Fulton County Commissioners’ meeting, where EMS funding was discussed.
The next Dover Township regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 29, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:08 p.m.
