Gerald “Jerry” D. Demaline, age 76, peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Ebeid Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
He was born in Wauseon, Ohio on April 14, 1948 to the late Harold and Patricia (Keesling) Demaline.
Jerry was a Delta High school graduate of 1966. On December 21, 1968 he would marry Kristine Sullivan and together they shared 56 years together before his passing. From this marriage they were blessed with two loving sons, Stacy and Jon.
Before retiring, he served as safety and traffic manager at Northern Steel Transport in Toledo and operations manager with K&L Trucking in Delta for over 15 years. Jerry was a past charter president of the former Delta Jaycees Club.
He cherished his family, often finding him at his sons’ and grandchildren’s sporting events. In his spare time, he and Kris enjoyed traveling. Some of their most memorable locations included Aruba, Yellowstone National Park, Maine and the Colorado Rockies.
He was an devoted follower of OSU football and attending games with his family and friends. Jerry also was an avid golfer, often playing locally at Valleywood and White Pines. He even once achieved a hole in one, while golfing in California.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kristine; sons, Stacy (Danielle) Demaline of Delta, and Jon (Melissa) Demaline of Sylvania; brothers, Terry (Diana) Demaline, Scott (Lori) Demaline and Rick (Lisa) Demaline; sister, Linda (Rick) Baker; grandchildren, Kaleb and Addison Demaline; along with loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 State Hwy 109 in Delta. A memorial service celebrating Jerry’s life will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2025, with Pastor Matthew Voyer officiating. Interment at Zion Cemetery near Delta will be private at a later date.
