He also traveled to Africa representing the Food Resource Bank, now Growing Hope Globally. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, sailing, and spending time with his family at Silver Lake, MI.

Larry is survived by his wife Shirley, his sons, his stepdaughters Linda Gerber of Orangeburg, SC, Sharon Gerber of Sugarcreek, and Judy (Garry) Snyder of Quincy, MI; sister Norma Fish of Stryker; sister-in-law Beverly Mayes of Valrico, FL; grandchildren Danae Wisler, Dawn (Scott) Densmore, Danny (Corinne) Stuckey, Dustin Stuckey, Steve (April) Stuckey, Crystal (Charlie) Tackett, Ruthann (Zac) Stuckey Greutman, Lynne Stuckey, Josh (Becca) Snyder, and Renee Snyder; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife Phyllis, Larry was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Marvin Fish, Colenzo Short, Gaylon Mayes, and Don Myers; sisters-in-law Connie Short, Delores Myers, and Dorothy Mayes.

Visitation will be held at the Stryker United Methodist Church (UMC) on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 2 pm to 7 pm. Burial services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at 10 am on Monday, July 3, 2023 followed by a memorial service at the Stryker UMC at 11:00. There will be a luncheon following the service at the Stryker United Brethren Church.

Those wishing to leave a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider the Stryker United Brethren Church, the Gideons International or Reach Up Prison Ministry.
