Lonny Berryman (1954-2022)

Lonny L. Berryman, 68, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, in his residence with his family by his side.

Lonny was born February 6, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Leroy F. and Rosemary (Dewire) Berryman.

Lonny was a 1972 graduate of Bryan High School. He served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1983.

He married Debra K. Blankenship on September 19, 2008, in Bryan, and she survives.

Lonny worked for the former Lutterbein Lumber Company for 19 years.  He then worked for Art Spletzer Construction and Siebenaler Construction Company.

Lonny was a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Bryan.  He enjoyed tinkering, dabbling in construction and Astronomy.  Lonny also loved to spend time with his friends around bonfires.

Lonny is survived by his wife, Debra; five children, Joshua Fisher of Minnesota, Gerri (Frank) Mavis of Ohio, Wayne Johnson of Ohio, Travis (Tiffany) Berryman of Ohio, and Dean (Merry) Nichols of Illinois; 19 grandchildren, with another on the way; his stepmother, Carol Berryman of Ohio; and one sister, Sharon Berryman of Michigan.  He was preceded in death by his parents.


In honoring Lonny’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services held at this time. The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be directed to the American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
